Arlene Kirkpatrick

Arlene Mae Kirkpatrick, 82, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center at Canton following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Joseph and Sady Mae Thomas, Arlene was born September 23, 1941 at Flushing, Ohio.

On January 29, 1964, she married Larry Wayne Kirkpatrick and the couple raised two sons, Larry, and Gary.  Together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage before his passing in April of 2021.

Together with Larry, Arlene was the co-owner and operator of Kirkpatrick Advertising for 29 years until they retired in 2016.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Brenda Kirkpatrick of Galloway, Ohio and Gary and Amy Kirkpatrick of Lebanon, Connecticut; her grandchildren, Ryan, and Kelsey Kirkpatrick both of Columbus, Ohio, Gregg Kirkpatrick of Lebanon, Connecticut and Grace Kirkpatrick of New York, New York; and brothers, Joseph Thomas of Bolivar, and Terry Thomas of Columbus.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; and sisters, Barbara Rainsberg, and Patricia Ling.

In keeping with Arlene’s wishes, cremation will take place and the family will greet guests during a memorial visitation on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, Ohio.
