Arlene Ellen Mabe of Wesley Chapel, Florida was called home August 24th, 2025 at 9:46am. Born August 11th, 1957 in North Adams, Mass. and raised on Florida Mountain, Mass. Arlene later moved to Florida in 1982 where she met the love of her life Wilburn Johnny Mabe who she married February 14th, 1986.

Arlene was loved by her family and friends, being recognized for her beautiful soul, her selfless loving heart, and devotion to those she cared for. Outside of loving and caring for her family and friends, she was passionate about elephants, cooking and baking, as well as sewing. She was fortunate to turn her passion into a career where she spent 50 years as a seamstress while also making clothes and quilts for the ones she loved in her free time. She was very thankful for her most recent opportunity at Custom Canvas Structures where she was welcomed as family.

Arlene was survived by her husband of 39 years Wilburn Johnny Mabe, her brother Rev. Harry Knights (Kathy), brother in-laws David (Sherri), Kenny (Michelle), sister in-law Sally Knights, 6 children; Maureen(David), Stephanie(Robert), Robert(Casey), Johnny(Amy), Brian(Bekah), Kimberly(Jeff), 13 nephews/nieces, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and numerous loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Milford H. Knights, mother Bernice Knights, and brother Rick Knights.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 1 PM Saturday, September 6th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.
