Arlene was born June 4, 1941, in Pitkin, Louisiana and passed away September 29, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 84. She grew up in Pitkin and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Arlene was a lifelong seamstress and at one time owned and operated her own business, and she also did alterations for the military. Being outside in her garden was something she loved, and you could definitely call her a social butterfly since she never met a stranger. She took pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will forever be blessed by the memories they made with her.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred McKinley "Johnny" Martin and Homer Moore; son, Eddie Martin; parents, Huey Adolf Bond and Arlie Brister Bond; brothers, A.L. Bond and Edwin Bond; and sisters, Marlene Buxton and Virginia Carroll.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Shirley Martin Rachal and husband Richard of Leesville, LA;

grandchildren, Mollie Martin, Samuel Martin, J.R. Rachal and wife Erin, Lucas Dowden, Cade Dowden and wife Marlee, Jesse Rachal and wife Mason, and Jenna Rachal;

great-grandchildren, Denver Dowden, Weston Dowden, McKinley Dowden, Brandon Rachal, Justin Rachal, Ashley Rachal, and Henry Dyer;

sisters, Sharon Walters of Livingston, TX and Nona Hildreth and husband Larry of Texas;

and a host of extended family members and friends.
