Thomas Ray Smart

Funeral services for Thomas Ray Smart will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Old Anacoco Baptist Church with Bro. Sandy Guynn officiating. The burial will follow in Old Anacoco Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Shuler, Roger Lynn Smart, Brian Frederick, Luke Brandon, Tony Gilispie, and Trent Behan. The honorary pallbearer will be William Isgitt. A visitation will be held at Old Anacoco Baptist Church on Thursday, December 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thomas was born March 2, 1961, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away at his home in Anacoco, Louisiana on December 3, 2025, at the age of 64. Thomas's life was filled with love for his family and friends. He had a heart that was bigger than life and never met a stranger. His family was blessed by his wonderful example of a compassionate and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Thomas was loved by many and will be so missed. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Robert Smart; mother, Claudia Smart; and brothers, Dale Smart and Roger Smart. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Becky Smart; sons, Corey Smart and Chris Foster; daughter, Vicki McCrea; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Smart (Pam); sisters, Marie Thornton (Tex) and Joyce Slaughter (Richard); and a host of extended family members and friends.
