Amber Dawn Smart, 45, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away January 21, 2026, at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born on November 8, 1980, in Indianapolis, Indiana to James R. Jr. and Ivy LaRene (Haworth) Smart. She was a corporate trainer for Phoenix Financial.
She was a member of Straight Gate Community Church in Anderson. She was always active with her church activities, groups and choir. She loved singing praise and worship, cooking and painting. She loved her family dearly and loved everyone.
Amber's infectious smile, fun-loving personality, love for community outreach through her church will be greatly missed. She was glitter personified and was loved by more people than she could imagine.
Amber is survived by two daughters, Bryiah Bell and Alayni Bell; a grandchild, Miyl'leon Gilbert; her parents, James Smart and Ivy Smart; a brother, Josh Smart; a son-in-law, Jamiyl Gilbert; and a brother-in-law, Andy Wright.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James R. Sr. and Sharon Smart and Kenneth and Ella Sue Haworth; the father of her children, Bryant Bell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Rev. Doyle Moore officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
