Arlene E. Sampino, age 87, of Allentown, passed away on February 27, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown. Born in Oxford, NY, she was a daughter of the late Walter Ward and Helen Pauline (Jackson) Crevier. She was the loving wife of the late Vincent A. "Sammy" Sampino with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Arlene grew up in Brooklyn, NY and married Vincent in Brooklyn, NY. She also brought up her children in Brooklyn, NY and then resided in Robbinsville, NJ. She moved to PA at 20 years old and the last 13 years she lived with her daughter Frances.
She worked as Head Legal Secretary at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in New York City. She was a Parishioner at St. Thomas More Church in Allentown.
Arlene is survived by her children, Frances M.A. Oswald and her husband William "Ozzie", Santo A. Sampino, Ward W. Sampino and John R. Sampino and his wife Alisha; grandchildren, Alexandria and husband Joshua Hayes, William and wife Morgan, Samantha, Cheyanne, Damien and Scarlett; great grandchildren, Devin, Madison, Ramsey and Dakota and brothers, Phillip Crevier, William Power and John Power. She was predeceased by sisters, Georgeanna Wysokowski and Mary Magenta and grandson, Vincent Michael.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Church, 415 S 6th Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewings will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM and 5:00 PM-9:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049 and Monday, March 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM in St. Ann's Church, 415 S 6th Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's name to Tunnel to Towers Foundation t2t.org or 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
