Arlene "Lynn" B. Sexton September 30, 1937 - October 18, 2025
Arlene "Lynn" B. Sexton, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on September 30, 1937, in Caribou, Maine, to the late Fred and Clara Chamberlain. Lynn met Jerome "Jerry" Sexton in Caribou while he was stationed at Loring Air Force Base. They married on July 22, 1956, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Scottsburg, Indiana, and together made Lexington their home. Lynn lived in Lexington for nearly seven decades, continuing her life there after Jerry's passing on March 18, 1978. She was preceded in death by Jerry; her son, Danny Jerome Sexton; her granddaughter, Jenni; one sister, Thelma; and four brothers, Ernest, Bob, Buck, and Don. Lynn is survived by her four daughters - Cheri Gayles, Julie Boswell (Jeff Carter), Kelli Stallings, and Diana Caudill (Craig) - along with her cherished grandchildren: Scott Boswell, Matthew Boswell, Rusty Stallings, Christine Gibbons, Andrew Sexton, Dean Stratman, Brock Stratman, Emily Ansari, and Henry Stratman. She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She is further survived by her siblings June Michaud, Conrad Chamberlain, and Juliette Levesque. Lynn loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her home, always keeping it warm, welcoming, and filled with love. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for everyone who came through her door, and sharing stories around the kitchen table. Her home was a gathering place for laughter, good food, and cherished memories. She will be remembered for her generous heart, quick sense of humor, unwavering fighting spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
