Arlene Marie Holman-Tartt was born October 21, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio to father, Eugene Holman and Elizabeth Holman. Arlene, 79, departed this life and went on to glory, September 1, 2024, surrounded by family.
Arlene retired from The State of Ohio – Food Service Department in 2009. Arlene loved helping others, crossword puzzles, watching Judge Mathis and dancing to old and new jams. She was a loving and caring person, daughter, sister, devoted wife, mother, aunt, Godmother, and friend who always thought of others first.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Tartt; sisters, Mary Holman and Martha Anne Taylor; brothers, Eugene Holman Jr. and Richard Holman; mother, Elizabeth H. Holman; son, Lavell Holman.
Arlene leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Garmal Holman and Phyllis Perry-Smith; grandchildren, Timnisha, Amaryllis, Inez, Joia; great grandchildren, JaMarr, MarDawn, Ilijah, Sincere, Randall, Trebion , Raquan, Jonah; great-great grandchild, Ma’Zaria , a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
To know her was to love her. Arlene will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
