Arlin Dee Henderson, a valiant Air Force veteran and a cherished pillar of his community, has been called home to the Lord on the 11th of November, 2025. Born on June 6, 1944, in
Ogden, Utah, Arlin's journey of 81 years was marked by a steadfast commitment to faith, family, and country.
Arlin's life was a living testament to the Christian values he held dear. He was a beacon of love and generosity, and his humor brought joy to all who knew him. His passing in Farr West, Utah, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia, has left an unfillable void in the lives of his beloved family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Camille Ortiz, and his sons, Michael and Matt Henderson, who will continue to honor his legacy. His grandchildren, Ruben Ortiz, Talia Ortiz, Dakota and Wyatt Wallace, and Christian Henderson, will forever cherish the memories of their doting grandfather. Arlin's sister Melody Clark, and her husband Scott warmly remember the love and guidance he provided. Kat will also miss and remember him tremendously. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Eva Downs, and his siblings Nicholas Aardema, Joy Aardema, Jim, and Judy Henderson, and Thea and Greg Clark.
Arlin's educational pursuits led him to study at the University of Florida and culminated in his graduation from the Ogden Applied Technology Center. His intellect and dedication were evident in his 22 years of service at Hill Air Force Base and his honorable service in the Vietnam War. Arlin carried the spirit of servitude and camaraderie from his military life into his civilian endeavors, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.
In his personal life, Arlin was a man who put family first. He was the heart of every family reunion, a tradition he never missed, and the go-to person when anything needed repair. His hands were rarely still, always engaged in restoring what was broken, a reflection of the restorative love he carried in his heart.
As we remember Arlin, we recall the words of scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23). This phrase aptly encapsulates the essence of a life well-lived, one marked by unwavering devotion to God, family, and community.
Though we mourn the loss of Arlin Dee Henderson, we rejoice in the knowledge that he has found eternal peace and rest.
