Armilda Broussard Fields, 94, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Maison de Lafayette in Lafayette, LA.

Inurnment will be in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette, LA.

Armilda Broussard Fields, was born May 19, 1931, in Lake Arthur, LA and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. Armilda worked as a clerical worker in the medical industry until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lafayette, LA.

Armilda leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed.

Armilda is survived her two daughters, Katherine Dicola and her husband, Michael, of Litchfield, NH and Cindi Jenner and her husband, Joe, of Plano, TX; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren and her dear friend, Donna Hebert, of Lafayette, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus J and Thelma A Hughart Broussard; her two sisters, Dorothy Jane Broussard and Jo Ellen Broussard and her two brothers, Harroll William Broussard and Robert Dale Broussard.

A special thank you to the staff of Maison de Lafayette, Hospice Compassus and First Baptist Church of Lafayette for all of the prayers on behalf of Armilda and for the compassionate care given to Armilda over the years.
