Armilla H. Geist

Armilla Hildegard Geist, 92, of Chetek, died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at VitaCare Assisted Living – Bloomer. She was born April 14, 1933, in the town of Tilden, the daughter of Louis and Katherine (Turany) Simon. On Nov. 28, 1957, Armilla married James Geist at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Tilden.

Armilla loved her family, her flowers, going to church, praying the rosary, and worrying about family and friends (especially all the nieces and nephews). There will never be another like her!

Armilla is survived by daughter Julie (Robert) Krisak of Palm Coast, Florida; grandson Thomas (Chelsea) Krisak; and two granddaughters Katherine and Juliet Krisak, all of Coral Springs, Florida, sisters Roseanne Winrich of Eau Claire and Frances (Don) Girard of Chippewa Falls, sister-in-law Jane Simon of Bloomer. Armilla was preceded in death by her husband, James on April 21, 1990; her parents Kathryn and Louis Simon; six brothers and three sisters-in-law —William Simon; Norbert (Janice) Simon; Wilfred (Betty) Simon; Ernest Simon; Anthony Simon; Allen (Yvonne) Simon; five sisters and six brothers-in-law—Dorothy (Roman) Boos; Josephine Humbert; Alice (Tom) McDonald; Joan (Bob) Morain; Ann (Cyril) Schemenauer; and Larry Winrich.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Tilden, Wisconsin, beginning at 4:00 PM, with a prayer service. Visitation will continue until 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Noon with a visitation from 11:00 AM until the Mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

She will be laid to rest at the church cemetery following the Mass. A lunch and continued visiting will be held immediately after in the church fellowship hall.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
