Arne D. Pedersen

Arne Pedersen, 81, departed this life on November 26, 2022 at his home in Wallingford, CT. He was born in Denmark on May 10, 1941 to the late Oluf and Yelva (Dallqvist) Pedersen. Arne moved to America with his parents and brother in 1945. He later went on to become a naturalized citizen and a proud American.
Arne graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1959 and then enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1960. He served in active duty for 4 years and then became a reservist for an additional 2 years. He received an honorable discharge in 1966 at the rank of Corporal. Later in life, he retired from the Wallingford Steel Co. where he had spent his career, and then enjoyed a quiet life at home watching Westerns and war movies. He had an interest in fixing up old cars, and frequented local diners and restaurants with his friends.
Arne is survived by his sister Kareena DuPlessis; niece Kristen MacLeod and her husband Andrew MacLeod; niece Erika DuPlessis, her husband Tim Rhodes and their son, Landen Rhodes; and sister-in-law Patricia Pedersen. Arne was predeceased by his beloved brother Eric Pedersen. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the USO (United Services Organization) in support of our active troops and military families.
