Arnetta Meredith Gipson, age 78 of Mammoth Cave passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was a member of Jock United Baptist Church, she loved to keep everyone informed, talking with her kids and grandkids, decorating, and cleaning. She was a good cook and passed that on to her kids (Except for Sandra). She was a wonderful, wife, mother, mamaw, nana, and grandma Gip.
She is the daughter of the late Willard Meredith and the late Lutena Stennitt Meredith.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dennie Lester Gipson; two sisters, Shirley Meredith and Corene Sanders; three brothers Randy Meredith, Danny Meredith, and Darrell Meredith.
She is survived by her six daughters, Sandra Higdon, Leitchfield, KY, Patricia Hendricks (Mike), Franklin, KY, Tammy Childress (Ryan), Cub Run, KY, Robin Gipson (Dennis Fuller), Mammoth Cave, KY, Rhonda Decker, Mammoth Cave, KY and Laura Davis (Chris), Brownsville, KY; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Coy Meredith (Retha), Bee Springs, KY, Rodney Meredith, Anetta, KY, Eddie Meredith (Bobbi), Leitchfield, KY, and Timmie Meredith (Lisa), Anetta, KY; one sister-in-law, Cosetta Gipson; a special caregiver and friend, Debbie Decker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends starting at 2:00 PM CT on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 and will continue until Friday, October 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM CT at Jock United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CT on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Jock United Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Jock United Baptist Church Cemetery.
