Reihs, Arno L.
NISKAYUNA - On Monday, October 6, 2025, Arno L. Reihs, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Arno was born in Osnabruck, Germany, to the late Heinrich and Gertrude (Duffner) Reihs, on December 12, 1939. He immigrated to the United States in 1951. Arno was a proud graduate of Troy High School.
He was a long-time business owner of the Mohawk Army Navy stores located throughout the Capital Region. He was a lover of soccer, golf, tennis and especially loved gardening. During the cold winter months, Arno was a snowbird, spending his time in Vero Beach, Fla.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen Tymeson Reihs; his brother, Helmut Reihs; and his sister, Irmgard Iacabucci. Arno is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Elaine Comeau-Reihs; his children, Arno (Karen) Reihs Jr., Christopher (Mary) Reihs, Brett (Kristin) Reihs, and Derik Reihs; his stepchildren, LuAnn Sullivan and David (Deborah) Comeau; his grandchildren, Brendan, Meaghan, Colton, Austin, Peyton, Alexandra, Kyle, Brett Jr., Garrett, Kendall, Helena, Reaghan, and Hudson; his step-grandchildren Ryan, Daniel, and Victoria; and two great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, followed by burial at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Arno's name to The Alzheimer's Association of Northeast New York, 1003 New Loudon Road Suite 201, Cohoes, N.Y. 12047, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105, or Community Hospice, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, N.Y. 12208

So sorry to read of your Dad's passing. I recall enjoyable times playing golf with him in Madden's Golf League. He was such a gentleman and so entertaining when we shared play in the same foursome. Condolences to the Reihs family, May he rest in peace.
