Arnold Clinton Angen, was born on April 3, 1938, in Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota. He was the only child of Clifford and Amy (Wahlin) Angen. After his high school graduation, Arnold resided with his parents on the original Angen family farm near Garfield, where he farmed with his father. After Clifford’s passing, Arnold continued farming until the late 1970’s when he suffered a stroke. Arnold continued living with his mother on the farm until Amy’s passing. Arnold then moved to the Senior Apartments and most recently into the Care Center at the Galeon in Osakis, Minnesota where he received the best of comfortable and loving care.
Arnold loved horses and watching rodeos. He enjoyed reading his bible and being read to when he was no longer able to read. He also enjoyed reading his Western Horseman and Fish and Game magazines as well as Louis L’Amour novels.
Arnold is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his cousins and friends.
Arnold C. Angen, died peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Care Center at the Galeon in Osakis, Minnesota under the loving care of hospice.
He will be laid to rest next to his parents at the East Moe Lutheran Cemetery near Garfield, Minnesota.
Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory.
