He is also survived by sister Gloria Soderberg and brother Dennis Hanson (Natalie).

Larry was born in Alexandria, MN on February 25, 1933. After high school he attended the University of Minnesota and enlisted in ROTC. His military career started in El Paso, TX and then he was stationed in Biebrich, Wiesbaden, West Germany.

When he returned from service he worked briefly at Lutheran Brotherhood where he met Alice, the love of his life. They were married in 1957 and raised their family in New Hope. They later moved to Saint Michael and recently to Plymouth.

Larry's career was spent with Honeywell, American Monarch and then for 33 years with MINCO, in increasing leadership roles and finally retiring in 1995.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and enjoyed attending musical and sporting events for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He held leadership positions his entire professional and personal life including volunteer leadership roles at First Lutheran Church of Crystal and the NEAR food shelf for many years.
