Arnold P. Dittmann, age 85, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Prarie Place in Ripon. He was born on May 12, 1939 in Poy Sippi, WI, the son of the late Paul and Clara (Warmbier) Dittmann.
On February 1, 1964, Arnold married Carol Manske in Auroraville, WI. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2014.
Arnold worked as a mechanic for the Waushara County Highway Department for 31 years before retiring. He was a former member and trustee at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi and was a current member of St John Lutheran Church in Berlin. Arnold liked to work and do repairs on anything that had an engine.
Arnold is survived by a son, Dean Dittmann, Ripon; three daughters, Sherry (James) King, Appleton; Jeannie (Special friend, Ryan) Selk, Columbus, WI and Paula (Don) LeMay, Owatonna, MN; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-grandson due soon; two brothers-in-laws, Robert (Linda) Manske, Red Granite and Allan Manske; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol; five brothers, Harold, Walter, Elmer, Edwin and Ben and two sisters, Elvina and Clara.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 168 Mound St., Berlin. Rev. Rob Schrader will officiate. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery in West Bloomfield, Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
