He also was a member of the Reiny Gaedtke Orchestra for over 30 years, playing trumpet, saxophone and clarinet for thousands of weddings, dances, and picnics throughout the area. He was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church where he served our Lord as a Deacon, Elder, and Church Council Secretary. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, auto racing and all of the Wisconsin sports teams. Mostly, he loved his wife of 56 years and their family.

Officiating the service will be Pastor Jacob Hoff with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at his visitation at First German Ev. Lutheran Church on that same day from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m.

My deepest sympathies to the family on the loss of your father. I remember him back in the day in the old neighborhood. When everything used to be fun and wonderful. Those truly were the good old days never forgotten. I remember when your father came into pick and save where I worked in the bakery and he was so sad on the loss of his wife, your, mother. I was stopped working at that time.Just to have a nice chat with him.And try to comfort him. It was always a very kind and warm hearted man.And wonderful to talk with. Again, my deepest sympathies to you and the family. God bless!! Barb Weber, Young.
