Arnold passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Carriage House Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 86. He was born to the late Elmer and Irene (Krawczyk) Grego on June 23, 1939 in Bay County, Michigan. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. He retired from General Motors after many years of working in the foundry. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. One of his favorite hobbies was gambling. He was a very strong willed, kind hearted and respected man that will be missed by many.
Arnold is survived by his daughters, Dawn Grego (Greg Kaer) and Debbie (Mark) Prokopenko; his companion of more than 25 years, Joy Kusmierz; grandchildren, Alec, Easton and Owen Prokopenko, Kristi (David) Kalman and Eric, Jacob and Travis Mellon; great grandchildren, Beau and Kade Kalman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Swantek) Grego; son, Dale Grego; daughter, Diane (Dan) Baldwin and sister, Marilyn (Don) Lozo.
In honoring Arnold’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service with Military Honors will be announced at a later date.
