Arnold Frederick Rawnsley, 80, of Somerdale, New Jersey, died at home on August 12, 2024. Named after an uncle killed in WWII, Arnold was, among his careers and hobbies, a gardener, plumber, electrician, bricklayer, woodworker, constable with the Blackpool Borough Police Force, and engineering technician at Boeing.
Arnold was born in 1944 in Blackpool, England, and moved to the United States, of which he later became a citizen. Arnold is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cathleen (née McIntyre), brother-in-law Joseph (Joanne) McIntyre; sons Jason (Anne) and Adam Rawnsley, grandchildren Jack, James, Harry, and Mick Rawnsley; niece Caitlin (née McIntyre) Fumo; great-nephew Anthony Fumo; and beloved dog Bruce. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Lily (née Orgill) Rawnsley.
There will be a visitation from 9am until 11am on Friday, August 16 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service 11am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 500 Delsea Dr, Sewell, NJ 08080.
