Funeral services for Arnold Gail Sharp, 81, of Perry, will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Florida United Methodist Church. Pastor Bill Dexheimer will officiate. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home.
Mr. Sharp passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his home.
He was born August 5, 1943 in Santa Fe, Missouri the son of William Paul Sharp and Erma Pauline "Polly" Greening Sharp.
He Married Wanda Sharp on October 15, 1988 and she survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters Dedra (Ned) Murray of Flowery Branch, GA, and Holly (Scott) Ross of Perry, one son; Darren (Sue) Sharp of Perry, two step daughters; Kim (Charlie) Martin of Henley and Kelly (Donnie) Power of Columbia, two sisters; Verda (Joe) Haiducek of Perry and Lois (Martin) Olivas of Perry, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Logan Martin, and his brother Gerald "Gabby" Sharp.
Arnold was a lifetime area resident and member of the Florida United Methodist Church. He served for many years on the Perry rural fire department board and enjoyed traveling, working on tractors and trucks, his ducks, chickens, and cows around the farm. Arnold was a mechanic for many years and also obtained his pilots license. He was known for his great pictures of sunrises and sunsets but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Wyatt Sharp, Walker Sharp, Marshall Ross, Delanee Ross, Jacob Murray, Cody Martin, and Kayla Higgins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica Murray, Kortney Verdun, Krayleigh Power, Danny Howald, Danny Scrogin, and Andy Culbertson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ralls County Food Pantry or Florida United Methodist Church in care of Bienhoff Funeral Home, PO Box 427 Perry, MO 63462.
