Arnulfo Garza Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by San Jacinto Funeral Home & Cremation Services & Cemetery on Jan. 7, 2026.
Arnulfo Garza, 74, of Channelview, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 15, 1951, in Billings, Montana, to Vicente and Guadalupe Garza.

Arnulfo married the love of his life, Olga Badillo, on September 14, 1973, in Houston, Texas, where they spent 53 years together building a life rooted in devotion, hard work, and deep family bonds. He retired from Simpson Paper Mill in Pasadena, Texas, where he worked for more than 30 years as a dedicated and respected shift supervisor.

Arnulfo enjoyed the simple joys that made life meaningful-sitting at the slot machines at Delta Downs beside his beloved wife, fishing on quiet mornings, and cheering on America's Team, the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. His presence, humor, and steady love were constants in the lives of those who knew him.

He proudly served in the United States Army from November 17, 1970, to June 29, 1972, achieving the rank of Private Second Class.

Arnulfo is survived by his wife, Olga Garza of Channelview, Texas; his daughter, April Williams of Atascocita, Texas; his sons Arnulfo "Arnold" Vicente Garza Jr. and wife Crystal of Nederland, Texas, and Adrian Garza and wife Krystal of Crosby, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters Maria Guerrero of La Blanca, Texas, and Janie Martinez and husband Isreal of McAllen, Texas; and his brothers Joe Garza and wife Ofelia of Huffman, Texas, Arturo Garza and wife Flor of Edinburg, Texas, and Marcos Garza and wife Betty of Elsa, Texas.

He leaves behind 16 grandchildren-Abby, Destiny, Paris, Blaze, Jaden, Alyssa, Kelsey, Kendal, Dylan, Nathen, Anabel, Adrianna, Arianna, Mia, Farrah, and Pharaoh-and one great-grandchild, Iris, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Arnulfo is preceded in death by his grandparents Jesus and Rosa Gonzalez and Marcos and Juanita Garza; his parents Vicente and Guadalupe Garza; his brother-in-law Ricardo Guerrero; his son-in-law Greg Williams; and his close friend Barbie Mathis.

Arnulfo will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his quiet strength, and the love he poured into every chapter of his life. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the countless memories they will forever hold close.
