Funeral services for Jerry Larue Lee, 71, of Channelview, Texas will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Isaac B. Wells Jr., Pastor Joseph Zachaire, and Pastor David Baldwin, Sr. officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with Clary G. Reed, Jr., Howard Thomas IV, Kevin Lee, Jared Lee, Ramone Booker, and Joseph Collins serving as pallbearers.
Jerry Lee passed away in Pasadena, Texas on Friday, May 6, 2026. He was born in Cleburne, Texas on December 11, 1954, the son of Birdine (Brazzle) and Tennie Lee, Jr.
He grew up in Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church and was retired from Harris County where he was a foreman of the Road and Bridge Department.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Lorraine Thomas-Lee; and sister, Sherlyn Wells.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Lee, Jr. of Humble, Texas and Juwon Lee and wife, Cassandra, of Houston, Texas; brother, Dennis Lee and sister, Anita Lee, both of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jerry Lee III, Jaylen Lee, Jasmine Lee, Juwon Lee, Jr., and Jayda Lee; and many other family members and friends.
