Art was truly one of a kind. He was industrious, inquisitive, supportive, and one great reporter. I had the privilege of having art lecture at one of my seminars and he knocked it out of the park. May his memory be a blessing

Art was a blessing and gift to this world, and certainly to my life. I was fortunate to have had a special friendship with Art for nearly 70 years. A childhood friendship that deepened over the decades. The most genuine, caring, loving, person. I am grateful that he was my friend. You will always be missed. Healing prayers and love to Carol and all of Art's family. .

I met Artie at Duke as he and I were the only ones wearing a cashmere coat...and we were both Jewish.
He was always friendly and considerate. After he lost his hair, I saw him as a dermatologist on occasion. His success was due to his sharp mind, good looks and wonderful personality. Marrying beautiful Carol was the best thing he did. My sympathies to Carol, his siblings and family. Harold Brody

Artie was a dear friend of mine, from our days at Duke to a phone call and text a few days before we lost him. He was a best friend: so loyal and loving always, interested in everything and full of fascinating stories! I was honored to be the only non family member at his birthday party in March. He has such a loving family, his amazing boys, and Catfish and Buffy, who are no doubt grieving with the rest of us. Rest in peace, dear friend. I will really miss you

I was so lucky to be a sidekick to the three musketeers. Artie and I share the same birthday, and I will always remember our 21st birthday bash at this parent's house. I thankfully reconnected with Art a few years ago. He was brilliant and always there for his friends. When he would write to me, I always had to read it twice - he was a deep, incredibly gifted writer. How blessed we were to have had him in our life. So much love to Mynel, Josh, Adam, Kent and Carol.

Art was one of my oldest friends and though we rarely lived in the same city, we spent a lot of time together over the years either in person or on the telephone. He was a one of a kind spirit - warm and smart, exuberant and caring, ambitious and curious and fearless and full of love and compassion. I can´t imagine ever visiting Atlanta and not spending an evening with him and talking for hours about everything in our lives. I can´t imagine that someone who could soar through life like he did could ever stop living. I can´t imagine ever meeting anyone like him. I can´t imagine the world without him.
