Arthur M. Aeberli, born October 14, 1941 in Montague, New Jersey, passed away in Milford, PA on July 19, 2025. He was 83 years old.
Arthur was very involved in his community and enjoyed helping different organizations throughout Sussex County and Montague, New Jersey. He was active in the Montague Grange, the Montague Senior Citizens Club, the Montague Historical Society, and the Sussex County Poultry Society.
Arthur had a love of cooking, baking, and eating. He was always thinking about his next meal. He also had a love of animals of all kinds. He was always tending to his birds and working to keep the house and property looking beautiful.
His true love was his wife Sharon, who celebrated 61 years of marriage together, and without her he was lost. Arthur was married to Sharon Furman Aeberli who predeceased him on September 17, 2024.
Arthur is survived by his children and their spouses, Arthur J. and Michele Aeberli, Jill and Kelly Decker, and Janine Begasse, his brother Roger Aeberli and his wife Marty, his grandchildren Lauren, Daniel, James, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Aeberli, Conner, Arthur Jonathan, Jack and Andrew, and his great-grandchildren Grant, Wrenley, Arthur, and Stowe. He was also preceded in death by his parents Arthur Aeberli and Marian Sheppard as well as his sisters Rosemary Owen and June Easton.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday August 23rd from 1 to 4:00PM at the Montague Grange 280 River Road Montague NJ 07827.
Cremation took place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium; Milford, PA
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Montague Grange or the Montague Seniors, two non-profit organizations that filled his life with community and joy.
