Arthur Alsept, age 72, resident of Shelby, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 6, 1953 in Willard, Ohio to the late Arbie and Wilda (VanNaular) Alsept.

Arthur was a welder who worked for Addison Steel in Florida and more locally, Firelands Electric LLC in Plymouth, Ohio, from where he retired. He loved working on cars, fishing and horses. In his spare time, he loved to draw but most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his six children, Jonathan (Regina) Alsept, Amanda Gayheart (Michael Elswick Jr.), Rebecca Mata, Rhonda Kay Alsept, Roxana Nead and Arthur Jay Alsept; grandchildren, Daymien Alsept, Alexander Heintz, Joshua Gayheart Jr., Skilyar Alsept, Adryanna Davis, Michael (Mariela) Alsept, Lily Christie, Zachary Christie, Preston Thornsberry, Mason Prelipp, Jeffrey Alsept, Vanessa Alsept, Nevaeh Alsept, Juan Daniel Mata and Alexander Mata; numerous great grandchildren; significant other, Corinda Gibson; two sisters, Sindra Myers and Mary Jane Alsept; nephew, Paul Jewell and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by a son, Joshua Gayheart; three grandchildren, Skyler Irven, Jonathan Alsept Jr. and Andre Harrison; and four brothers, Jimmy, Ricky, Joseph and Corbett.

A Celebration of Life and private burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard will be held at a later date. Secor Funeral Home in Willard is honored to be assisting Arthur's family with funeral arrangements.
