Arthur DeGasperis Obituary

Arthur R. DeGasperis, 61, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at home. He was born August 16, 1960 in Kingston, NY, son of the late John and Anita (Lohmaier) DeGasperis. Artie was married to Nancy (Venditti) DeGasperis, they wed on September 11, 1982. He was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1979, and later attended Ulster County Community College. He worked as a “butcher by trade” at his family’s business, The Governor Clinton Market. Artie was a die-hard NY Giants fan and enjoyed golfing. Above all, he loved spending time with and handing out Reese’s cups to his grandchildren to whom he was lovingly referred to as “Partie”. He is survived by his wife, Nancy DeGasperis of Lake Katrine, his children, John Arthur DeGasperis, Esq., and his wife Emily of Kingston, and Kayde Wagner and her husband Derek of Providence, RI, his siblings, Joseph DeGasperis of Kingston, James DeGasperis and his wife Kelley, and Nina Cicoria and her husband Tony of York, ME, his grandchildren, Piper Grace Wagner, Essie Marie Wagner, Ivy Anita DeGasperis, and Eli Oliver DeGasperis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear family members. Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday March 6, 2022 from 2pm to 5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, March 7, 2022 at St. Mary's RC Church in Kingston. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Artie's name can be made to Aid to the Church in Need to help with the crisis in Ukraine at P.O. Box 220384, Brooklyn, NY 11222.
