Arthur L. Hadlock, 83, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born on February 1, 1942, in Sayre, PA, the son of the late John and Ethel (Goodale) Hadlock.

Arthur was a business owner in Sayre, East Side Inn with his late wife until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going for rides and birdwatching. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and doing puzzles. Arthur was a member of the Sayre American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife; Nancy Hadlock.

Arthur is survived by his daughters; Ann (Duane) Shrimp of Sayre, PA and Lynn (Jason Bergquist) Fitzpatrick of SC, sons; Arthur (Kathy) McGruder of Brooktondale, NY, and William Kraus, grandchildren; Brittany (James) Scrivener of Barton, NY and Caitlyn Fitzpatrick of Rochester, NY, and great-grandchildren; SkyLyn Bacon, Dominick Bacon, and Anthony Scrivener. He is also survived by his cherished friend; Nancy Ellis, beloved dog; Billy, brother; Billy Joe Hadlock, special nephew; Joe, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friend; Billy Fenton.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 2pm- 6pm at the Ball-Skerpon Ukes Club Hall, 101 South Higgins Avenue, Sayre, PA. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

Memorial donations may be made in Arthur's name to: Sayre VA Clinic, 1537 Elmira St., Sayre, PA 18840 to help offset the expenses of Veterans who have no means to pay when their medical insurance does not cover the expense.
