"It is with profound sadness that the family of Harry Duane Hadlock announces his passing at his home on October 9th, 2025, at the age of 63, with his loving family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer. Harry was born on April 22, 1962, in Sayre, PA.
A resident of Sayre, PA, Harry graduated from Troy Senior High School in 1980. While in high school, Harry played football and threw shot put. He graduated from BOCES LPN program in 1983. Harry met his wife Susan in 1981 and married in 1983. He worked at the Bradford County Manor for 37 years. After retiring in 2018, he continued to work per diem for Bradford Hills, Vestal Park, and Absolut Care.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Susan Hadlock; daughter Jennifer (Brett) Sawyer, daughter Stephanie Sawyer, and son Kevin (Michaela) Hadlock; grandchildren Paul Seadler, Savannah Gaul, Kyra Hadlock, Elena Sawyer, Norah Hadlock, Jonah Hadlock, and Luca Hadlock. Harry is also survived by his mother, Charlene Sandor, his sister Elizabeth (Greg) Curran, and nieces and nephews.
Harry was preceded in death by his sister Melissa, and other loving family members, Richard Vanderpool and John Sandor.
Harry found joy in partaking in various hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and slot car racing. He gave back to the community through the Valley Youth Soccer Association serving as a coach, mentor, and board member for over 25 years. His leadership and encouragement touched the lives of countless young athletes.
What Harry loved most of all was his family. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren, sharing his beloved hobbies with them, attending their various sporting events, school graduations, or just simply enjoying time together at the house. He was always one that would welcome you in with open arms whether you needed a meal, a place to stay, or just some place that felt like home.
Harry's legacy will be carried on through all the lives he touched through family and friends alike. The example he set for his children, grandchildren, and the community will be carried on through not only the memories we are left with, but the values he proudly instilled.
Harry's family is hosting a Celebration of Life at the VYSA fields at 4244 Wilawana Road, Sayre, PA on October 26th at 3:00pm. Please bring your stories and fond memories, a chair, and your appetite." Contributions can be made to Valley Youth Soccer Association in liew of flowers.
