I remember Art and Alta as youth leaders in the late 1960s. Our group met in their home once a week, and even as a teenager, I could sense something special about them. They were kind, steady, and spirit-filled-a couple whose faith wasn´t just spoken, but lived out in quiet hospitality and genuine care.
Years later, near the end of my college years, I reconnected with Art. We talked about my major-Information Technology-and he listened with interest and encouragement. That summer, he told me he had passed my name along to a client of IBM. Not long after, I had an interview. That single act of kindness opened the door to a career in Information Systems that would span more than 30 years. Because of Art, I found not just a job, but a path that shaped the life I´ve been fortunate to enjoy.
His influence was quiet but lasting. He believed in people, and he acted on that belief. I´ll always be grateful.

Art was one of the kindest and most godly men I've ever known. I remember before Alta passed, she would show me a picture of herself next to her motorcycle, and Art's eyes would light up. He loved her so, he also loved everyone he knew well. Always had a positive word to say, and his steady faith spoke volumes. He definitely lived out what he believed and was a wonderful example of Christ's love.

Mr Hall was such an inspiration. I am very sorry to hear he passed away. Our boys were very young one year and raked for him. It was always so sweet to see him drive to church every Sunday or see him walk by our house with his walker exercising. Such an inspiration

Art was one of the first guys i met when I moved to Fort Wayne. He gave me 'the look' as he hadn't seen a mustached IBM manager before. Always gracious, and a true leader at work, and in the community. Patient beyond words when things around us would have easily gotten out of control. The highlight I most remember was the 'Party' his old compadres threw for him when he turned 100.
Hopefully we'll all catch up with you once again.

I knew Art from church. He and he and his wife Alta welcomed every child that came to Sunday school at the door and gave them a piece of candy. Children loved them. What a blessing to the body of Christ.

I have fond memories of Art and Alta standing in the hall, greeting everyone for Sunday School. They were such a sweet couple.

Art was such an amazing person. He had stories I could listen to for ever. Very smart and alert until his final days. Loved playing games. Rest in Peace Art with Alta by your side.

Art and Alta assisted CMI Global with monthly bulk mailings. It couldn't have been done as speedily without them. I placed Art's pic and data on the WWII Memorial Page connected to the Memorial in Washington DC near the Washington Monument. He was always positive and respectful and always gave me a cheese roll at Christmas. He lived his life for His Lord and others!

I would always stop in once a week to see him and give him Oreos and pb crackers. I´ll miss that. I always told him if I go before you Art I´ll tell Jesus I´d love your room next to mine and if you go first you tell Him you´d like mine next to yours. He said Deal! And we shook on it
