Arthur Hirth Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 6, 2024.
My Brother, Arthur Dwayne Hirth, passed away in his sleep in the early hours of November 29, 2024. He was a resident of the Living Stones home in Anchorage, Alaska. Art was also known as "JD" or "Little Joe" to his family and friends.

Art was born in Anchorage and grew up in Soldotna, Alaska since the summer of 1963. He graduated from Soldotna High School in 1980 and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Navy. Art spent many years working in the oilfield across the Kenai Peninsula and on the North Slope.

Art had a great sense of humor and a laugh that you'll never forget. He would give you the shirt of his back to anyone who needed help. I had several conversations with countless people that remember Art's kind heart and his warm smile. Many people may have seen him walking along the local highways during all types of weather. Thank you for the people who gave him a ride.

Art is preceded in death by our parents Art and Millie Hirth. We were blessed to be both adopted at birth by a very loving Mother and Father. He is with them now.

Art is survived by Michael King, Brother (Cylene King), Nieces, Paris King Alvey (David Alvey), Ronda McCall (Kelsey), and Sandy Creten (Tony Creten). There are several second-generation nieces and nephews that loved him very much. We will all deeply miss him and know that he is in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

There will be a celebration of life this summer for him in Soldotna, Alaska.
