Arthur D. Hollingsworth, age 82, of Springfield, Michigan passed away on October 20, 2025, at his residence. He was born on August 1, 1943, in Greenville, SC., the son of George and Virginia (Watts) Hollingsworth. Arthur graduated in 1961 from Pershing High School, then went on to join the United States Air force from 1961 until 1965, where he served as a mission tech for the B-52 Bomber in the Vietnam War. After his military service Arthur receive an associate’s degree in electronics from American River College in Sacramento, CA. He was employed by the Federal Government, working at the Federal Center in Battle Creek for over 35 years before retiring in 1996. Arthur was on the Springfield City Council, and a member of the American Legion Post #298. He was an avid woodworker. Arthur was united in marriage on May 29, 1966, in California to Sharon Green, she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Robert (Kelly) Hollingsworth of Soddy Daisy, TN., Adam (Daci) Hollingsworth of Union City, MI., sister, Cheryl Hollingsworth of Greenville, SC., sister-in-law, Carolyn Hollingsworth of Tipton, OH., 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother George Wayne Hollingsworth. Funeral Service scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 31, 2025, at Family Altar Chapel, with Rev. Travis Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stop Soldier Suicide.
