Arthur E. Hoult, born on August 9, 1946 in Boise, Idaho, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in Riverside, California. Art was born to Arthur W. Hoult and Mildred Claiborne (Higbee).

Art graduated from Burley High School in 1964. He joined the Air Force in 1965, serving in Guam and Thailand during the Vietnam Conflict at the K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base until 1969. He worked at Sprouse- Reitz Stores from 1970-1974. He was hired as the first UPS delivery driver in Mountain Home in 1975 and remained there until his retirement.

Art married Reta Clairborne in February of 1966. They welcomed two children: a son, Johnny, and a daughter, Terry. Art and Reta later divorced in 1987.

Art married Merlynda LaBelle on June 4, 1988. During their marriage, they moved from Mountain Home to Bruneau. While there, he served on the Owyhee County Posee for ten years and worked for the Elmore County Sheriff's Office for several years doing boat inspections. He was also an active member of the Elmore County Amateur Radio Club for many years.

After his retirement in 2002, Art and Merlynda's travel adventures began. They traveled to Canada, Maine, South Dakota, Arizona, and every state along the way. Their travels continued until Merlynda's passing on January 14, 2021.

Art is survived by his children: Johnny Hoult of Medford, Oregon, and Terry Wright of Mountain Home, Idaho; two stepchildren, Donnie LaBelle (Jenny) of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Bonnie Swenson (Tim) of Star, Idaho; along with ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and another one due in January 2026.

A graveside service will be held later in September. Details will be announced in the Mountain Home newspaper when available.
