Arthur “Bud” Albert Jackson Jr., 72, of Fremont, OH passed away on June 4, 2024 at his home. Arther was born on June 9, 1951 to Arthur Albert Jackson Sr. and Bernice (Braun) Phillips in Mt. Clemens, MI. Arthur married Nancy Kruise on June 4, 1973 in Michigan and she preceded him in death on October 17, 2006.

Arthur served in the United States Marine Corps from May 1970 to September 1972 and earned the Good Conduct Medal, Rifle Marksman Badge, and the National Defense Service Medal. Bud worked in several factories as a machine operator and welder until he retired in 2006.

Bud enjoyed collecting Marine memorabilia, sprint car races, fishing, playing 10,000, welding, his dog “Stormy” and decorating for Christmas. He enjoyed hosting family holidays and spending time with his family. Bud was a member of the VFW. 

Arthur is survived by his children; Michael (Rachel) Jackson, Amy (Jose Mata) Frey, Martita Santiago-Morales and Alejandro Sweet, all of Fremont; siblings, Darlene (Duane) Leininger, Sally Jo May both of Arizona, Richard Jackson, Fremont, OH, Krik (Karyn) Wetzel and Kent (Kristy) Wetzel; grandchildren, Alora, Amelia, Alyssa, Gabriel, Olivia, Emma, Gavino, Giancarlo, Natalia, Miguel and Emerie; great-grandchildren, Aliana, Aniya, Bryson, Azrealla, Annalaya, Mason and one on the way; step-mom, Arlene Wetzel; closest friend, Darl Frey; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Nancy Jackson, daughter, Krista Jackson; siblings, Maynard Jackson Sr., Robert Vought and Thomas Phillips

Visitation will take place on Monday, June, 10, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420. 

Services will take place on Monday, June, 10, 2024 at 8 p.m. following visitation. 

Memorials can be made in his honor to the Sandusky VA Clinic
