MESQUITE, Texas ­- Arthur Lee Jayne, 59, passed away suddenly in Mesquite Texas, April 10, 2006. He was born August 16, 1946, in Auburn, NY. He was a resident of Metairie, La. He is survived by his wife, Wanda McCann Jayne; his children, Jeffery Lee, Amy Louise, Samuel Luke, Daniel William Christoffel, and Matthew Kyle Jordan; grandchildren, Kresta Marie, Jeffrey Lee Jr., Matthew Kyle Jordan Jr., Anthony Francisco, and Ethan Hilton Arthur. He has joined his granddaughter, Kaylee Elise Rae, in heaven. Arthur was a son to the late Arthur and Florence Jordan Jayne; a brother to William Jayne and the late Ernest Jayne. A Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m. April 14, 2006, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville, Texas.

Lee, I still miss you. You were always a better father to me than my own. Miss the advice you had always ready for me and even though you did not always agree with my choices you were always there. When some guy broke my heart you never said I told you so even though I am sure you wanted to. Thank you and you are never far from my thoughts.

Hi Mr. Lee,
It is me Amber. I was just writing to check on you see how things where going and to tell you that we miss yo so much. I bet you and Kaylee are having fun up there with out us. i am keeping your wife pretty safe, it is just a hard job to do. She got bit by a spider, which I am shure you already know, but she seems to be doing better. She misses you so much I see it in her eyes every time I look at her. SHe misses those nightly calls before bed, we al do . I miss that sweet soft voice that you would never think of coming from a man of your stature. I miss calling you saying Ms. Wanda isn't answering the phone Do u know where she is? and u saying u know she is good at that, u think she has called me. What u need Amber Maye I can help? I miss your one of a kind breakfast and before we even finishing eating that you asking us what we want fo lunch. I love you Mr. Lee and Lil Matt and I miss you lots and please keep taking care of my baby girl as good as you have been.

to the greatest father a boy could ever have thank you for always being there for me when i needed it most and for teaching me to be strong in rough patches like this one i will truly miss you and everything about you that made you great all the fun times we had watching football and wrestling,and going fishing, and riding in your truck, i will miss your kindness and the great outlook you had on life but truly most of all i will miss you and the love you had for us the world is now a lesser place without you, and my heart has a huge void in it that no one will ever be able to fill

Ms. Wanda, Matt, and Daniel,

I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Lee. He was such a great man. He did so much for everyone. He treated me like one of his own and never asked not one question. I want to take this oppurtunity to thank the Jayne's for welcoming me with open arms in their family. I love all of you and hope that we can all get through this rough patch . Mr. Lee, Thank you for everything and please take care of my daughter, the way you and your wife took care of me.
