Arthur Jones Obituary
Gregg led a fulfilling career, retiring as a Bosch Operator at the Savannah Sugar Refinery. Not one to stay idle, he continued his professional life as a part salesman at Action Auto and LKQ. His dedication to hard work and his ability to forge relationships defined his professional years.
Beyond his career, Gregg was a cherished member of the Morning Star Community Church in Bloomingdale, Georgia. Gregg enjoyed singing karaoke and playing his guitar. Known to his family as the "grill master," Gregg found joy in cooking and brought warmth to many gatherings with his culinary skills. Above all, he dearly loved and cherished time with his family.
Gregg is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Mills Jones, his devoted children Derek Jones and his wife Rachel, and Christina Jones Meeks and her husband Daniel. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Ravyn, Gavyn, Kaydin, Camryn, Blakelyn, Romyn, Baylor, and Bristol. He also leaves behind his sisters Darlene Jordan (Michael), Melanie Cooler (Richard, deceased), and Tammie Futch (Jerry), as well as his beloved cat Prissy, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Morning Star Community Church in Bloomingdale, Georgia, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 5:00 pm. Prior to the celebration, a visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Morning Star Community Church, 2836 US-80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302, in Gregg's memory.
Arrangements are being handled by Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Gregg's warmth, kindness, and humor will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love and joy will continue to be felt by all who knew him.
