Arthur Reginald Kaikkonen
March 7, 1933 - September 11, 2023
Arthur Reginald Kaikkonen passed away in North Port, Florida. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a Roman Catholic. He was the eldest son of Gustav Alexander Kaikkonen of Kaleva, MI and Eva Mary Caradonna of Detroit, MI. Art served in the Army in the Korean War. He attended Ferris State College when he returned from the service, and earned his B.S. degree in Accounting and Law, Business Education. He also attended Michigan State University graduate school in Personnel Administration.
Art began his career teaching for the Utica Community Schools in Utica, MI in Business Education. After five years of teaching, he began his 34-year career in Human Resources. He worked 33 years in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. He retired as the Director of Human Resources International for Lockheed Martin in Dallas, Texas.
Art was also called "Reg" married Jo-Ann (Gilboe) of Windsor Ontario in 1980 and moved to Arlington Texas. After retirement they moved to Gun Barrel City, TX. Art and Jo-Ann traveled to over 30 countries. He also loved RVing and attended many rallies. In 2020 Art and Jo-Ann moved to North Port, Florida. He will be cremated and will be placed in a columbarium in Michigan in the Spring of 2024.

Art was predeceased by his parents, and brother Robert Kaikkonen (CA). Surviving relatives include Jo- Ann his wife of 43 years; Sister - Viola Kirksey of Fort Myers, FL; Brother - Gus Kaikkonen (NYC); Son - Kenneth Kaikkonen (MI) and spouse Lisa (Skwirsk), grandchildren - Tyler Kaikkonen (MO), Conner Kaikkonen (MI) and Carley Kaikkonen (MI); Son - Kirk Kaikkonen and spouse Rebekah (Sanders), grandchildren - Hannah Kaikkonen (CA), Ashley (Kaikkonen) Ricks (CA), spouse Brian Ricks (CA), Kenan Kaikkonen (CA), Corbin Kaikkonen (CO) and spouse Cambriella (Carver), Salem Kaikkonen (MI); Daughter - Kelly Kaikkonen, grandchildren - Olivia Link (MI) and Lauren Link (IN), as well as three great grandsons; Brennan Ricks, Jude Ricks, and Kaia Kaikkonen.
