John Boone Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 16, 2026.
John Boone Jr. lovingly known as "Bug", lived his life guided by simple but powerful values. He always said, "Stay the course and save your money," lessons he proudly instilled in his five children, whom he loved dearly.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my best friend and husband, John Boone Jr. who tragically lost his life in a car accident on January 4 th, 2026, at the young age of 44. John was driving his beloved 1955 Chevy – a car he truly cherished – when the accident occurred.

John was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mandy Boone; his daughters, Brianna Boone, Savanna Boone, Suzanna Boone; his sons, John Boone IV and Jesse James Boone; his grandchild "Cricket" and his beloved puppy dog Riley.

John was born in Fort Myers, Florida on January 23, 1981, to John Boone Sr and Brenda Stone. He was met in Heaven by his father John Boone Sr and his son John Boone III.

John Boone was an honest and devoted family man, a self-made force whose hard work and determination built not only a successful Stucco business "JOHN BOONE CONSTRUCTION", but a life rooted in integrity and love. He spoke words of wisdom to his children, instilling strong core values that will guide them always. An avid donator to St Judes Children's hospital, Shriners Children's hospital, Move Mountains, and every holiday season pulling 5+ names off the angel trees. Reliable and driven, John was a proud provider who carried his responsibilities with strength and quiet confidence. Known for his quick wit and playful humor, he could light up a room just as easily as he could offer steady guidance. A Passionate vintage collector and true car connoisseur, he found joy in craftsmanship and history. Above all, John and I loved each other deeply, which created the foundation for our family.

Additional surviving family includes his sister Samantha Boone and her 3 children Brian, Juan, and Giovanni. His mother and father-in-law, Kevin and Kellie Barber. His brother-in-law Matthew, and his soon to be son in law Daniel. His sister-in-law Meagan (Nicholas) and their daughter Mila. His Aunt Tena, Uncle Dave, Cousin Tasha (Johnny) and their son David. Along with many friends and colleagues.

A service will be held for immediate family and friends at the VFW in North Port, FL.
