Arthur R. "Bobby" Malatesta

Arthur R. "Bobby Malatesta passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. He was 91 years old.
Bobby was a lifelong resident of Malden. He was a United States Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict and a longtime letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Bobby was a member of the Italian American War Veterans Club and the Italian American Citizens Club where he loved playing bocce. He loved spending time in his basement each year making wine with his son, a tradition that brought them both great happiness. Bobby also had a deep passion for gardening, tending to his plants with care and pride. His love for family, and dedication to the things he loved will always be remembered.
Bobby was the former husband of the late Carol (McNamara) Malatesta. He was the loving father of Carolann Malatesta, Sharon Neal and her husband Paul, Barbara Hardiman and her husband Marty, and the late Robert Malatesta and his surviving wife Kelly. Bobby was the dear brother of Lorraine LaSpina and the late Charles Malatesta, Rose Fabiano, Philip Malatesta, Lena Leach, William Malatesta and John Malatesta. He was the cherished grandfather of Jason, Rachael, Maegan, Jordan, Brenna, Bradleigh, Zachary, Brian, Julianna, Devyn, Dominic and great grandfather to little William. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held in the Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden on Tuesday September 2nd at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
