Arthur Carlo Martinucci, 82, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and lasting memories. Born on October 31, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Arthur was the devoted son of the late Victoria "Bianca" (Bianco) and Stefano "Steve" Martinucci, originally from Le Spezia and Colle di Compito, Italy.
Art cherished his loving wife, Janet, throughout their 40 years of marriage. He took great pride in being a father to his son Jonathon (Kelly) Martinucci and daughter Jeanna (Jason) Cristino, frequently sharing stories of their achievements and expressing how much happiness they brought him. His family was complete with the addition of his grandchildren Everett and Jacob Martinucci, whom he dearly loved. Art shared a special bond with his identical twin brother, Albert (Kathy) Martinucci of Tucson, Arizona.
Art's outgoing personality and enjoyment in connecting with others paved the way for a career in sales. He began as a sales manager and buyer in the fashion industry, eventually opening his own chain of clothing stores, Nucci's. Later in life, he spent more than 20 years at All Temp Heating in Wauconda, Illinois, before retiring.
Art was a good man who appreciated the best and most simple things in life-the company of his loving family, relaxing outside on a warm day, taking in the view of a sunrise over the lake by his home, watching his favorite sports teams, attending car shows, listening to live music at outdoor concerts, and enjoying a delicious Italian dinner or a perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
Arthur will be deeply missed by his family, who will honor his memory with immense love and gratitude.
A celebration of life will be held at Mickey Finn's Brewery, 345 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, Illinois on Saturday, March 8, 2025 starting at 12:00pm until 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserves. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Arthur, please visit our floral store.
