MASSENA – Arthur H. McGee, 74, unexpected passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 10, 2026 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital.

Arthur was born on December 7, 1951, in Massena, the son of the late Lawrence and Myrtle (Mitchell) McGee. He attended local schools where he graduated from Massena High School. On February 12, 1972, he married Gail Saumier at the Emmanual Congregational United Church of Christ.

At the age of 15, Art started working at Ames Department Store, where he continued for over 30 years until the store closed in 2002. He later started working for Tarbell Management Group as a gas attendant at Bear's Den for the past 24 years. Art loved to be around people, cracking a good joke, and making people smile. He was an avid coin collector and fan of Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, and the LA Rams. Art also cherished his Saturday morning visits with his friends at Vance Savage's garage.
