AKWESASNE – Frank P. Scott, 90, a native of Norfolk and more recently residing in Akwesasne, peacefully passed away Sunday morning, February 22, 2026 at North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Massena.

Frank was born in Norfolk on March 7, 1935, the son of the late Emery and Ruth (Wilkinson) Scott. He attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School before going to Massena, where he left to enter the United States Navy in 1956. He received his GED while in the military, prior to his discharge in 1960. In November 1958, he married Barbara Ann Lennon. She predeceased him on October 12, 1981. He found love again as he married Elaine B. Millett on December 17, 1983 in Massena.

Frank was a pot tender and tapper at Reynold's Metal for several years. He was a proud American Veteran who belonged to the American Legion in Massena and the Sons of The American Legion in Hogansburg. Frank was also a member of the Massena Moose Lodge and had a great love for being outdoors with hunting and fishing being some of his pastimes. He also enjoyed playing solitaire on his phone, playing pool and shuffleboard, and greatly enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children, Daniel Scott of Rome, New York, Vicki (Tom) Dentinger of Rochester, New York, and Diana Salazar of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Katelyn and Joshua Dentinger, Kassandra Mills, Michael (Tasha) Greenwood, and Mark Greenwood; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and his first wife, he was predeceased by a son, James Scott; a daughter, Gloria Jean Forrette; his brothers, Earl and Milton Scott; and his sisters, Beaulah Allen and Connie O'Donnell.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where services will be held later in 2025 with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Area 2, Massena.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Andrew W. Cook American Legion Post 1479.
