HELENA "LENA" A. LAMB

CORNWALL ISLAND- Helena A. Lamb, 78, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 6, 2025 at Tsiionkwanonhso:te Adult Care Facility on Cornwall Island.

Lena was born on November 5, 1947, in Syracuse, daughter of the late Jake "Red" and Leola A. (Burton) Jock. She graduated from Salmon River Central School.

She was a member of the American Legion in Hogansburg, and the American Legion and AMVETS in Massena. Lena was an avid beader, crafting many artistic works over the years. She worked a few different jobs, most recently as a foster grandparent for the Akwesasne Head Start Program. She had a beautiful sense of humor, and was loud and a hoot, and would do anything to make people laugh. She took great joy in cooking and providing food for anyone less fortunate or in need throughout her community.

Lena is survived by two children, Monica (Walter) Peters of Cornwall Island; and Veronica Lamb of Hermon; two granddaughters, Courtney (Cody) Rust of Massena and Kins-Leigh Dennis of Hermon; a great grandson Christopher; and was anticipating a great granddaughter in April.

She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy (Ernest) Samphier of Massena; Angela Jock Mapes of Fairport, NY; Jacqueline Jock of Cornwall Island; Pamela (Paul) Lamarche of Ontario; Melanie (Phil) Gibson of St. Regis; Sharon (John) Peters of St. Regis; Wendy (Larry) Jock of Massena; Jospeh (Esther) Jock of St. Regis; Gary (Sheila) Jock of Cornwall Island and Raymond Jock of Florida; a sister-in-law Eleanor Jock of Ogdensburg; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Lena was predeceased by her parents Jake and Leola, and her brother Robert D. Jock.

There will be a Celebration of Life on February 14 from 2-4 PM at the American Legion in Massena.

Memorial donations may be made in Lena's memory to the Tsiionkwanonhso:te Adult Care Facility Activities Fund.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, where friends and family are encouraged to share memories and condolences online at www.donaldsonfh.com.
