Arthur Ross McMahon always loved helping others. For 13 years, he delivered Meals on Wheels in the Peoria area, getting to know each person he served and offering a listening ear. Art never met a stranger—he was always ready to lend a hand and brighten someone’s day with a joke. Whether as an entrepreneur, salesman, blackjack dealer, or goodwill ambassador, Art had a gift for making friends wherever he went.
He deeply loved his children and grandchildren and was dearly loved in return by family and friends alike. Art's kindness and his positive energy had a natural way with people, encouraging those around him to be their best.
Art shared a special love with Linda Wilson that spanned well over 20 years. He often said, “I’ve never had a bad day since I met Linda.”
Art will be truly missed by his many friends and his large, loving family. He is survived by Linda Wilson; his daughters, Shelly Casper and Lisa McMahon; and his sons, Nick McMahon and David McMahon. Art was preceded in death by his son James Clifford McMahon and his son Ricky Jay McMahon.
