Arthur Munier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home - Lake Havasu on Jun. 2, 2025.
Arthur Jess Munier Jr., known affectionately to all as "Sonny," passed away on May 28, 2025. Born on September 14, 1936, in Oakland, California, Arthur's life was the embodiment of a spirited, adventurous, and humble soul who believed that "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all," as Helen Keller once said. His zest for life was infectious, filling the lives of those around him with joy and warmth.
Arthur was a graduate at Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was a hardworking K9 specialist in the aircraft industry before retiring to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. A man who could fix anything, his dedication was not limited to his work. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies, which included horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, and hiking in Big Bear. An adventurous spirit, Arthur found joy in the simplicity of nature, whether it was going out in his jeep in the desert or shooting his guns. A devoted member of The Eagles and The Elk Lodge #2399, Arthur was as much a community man as he was a family man. The love for his family, especially his 21 grandchildren, was the cornerstone of his existence.
Arthur's adventurous spirit extended beyond the borders of his homeland, traveling with Gloria, his beloved wife of 53 years, to places like the Bahamas, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, and Jamaica. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a good friend. His legacy of love and adventure continues to live on through his wife Gloria, his sons Noel, John, and Frank, and his daughters Sherry Rae and Cindy and Sherry Lynn. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Gladys Roberts, and his brother Wayne Munier. He was also preceded in death by his son, Arthur Jess Munier 3rd (Cam)
In the words of Albert Einstein, "The only source of knowledge is experience." Arthur's life was filled with experiences that made him the man he was - spirited, adventurous, and humble. He lived his life to the fullest and touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity. Arthur Munier Jr. may have left us, but his spirit continues to inspire those who knew him.
We invite everyone who knew and loved Arthur to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Your contributions will help celebrate the remarkable life of this extraordinary man.
