Carolyn Leonard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home - Lake Havasu on Mar. 30, 2026.
Carolyn Leonard (née Terral), 89, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at her beloved home on Calypso.

Carolyn was born on July 10, 1936, in Farmerville, Louisiana, to George Terral and Maude Hollis. She graduated from San Digeto High School in San Diego, California, in 1954 and married the love of her life, William "Bill" Leonard, that same year. In 1978, they moved to Lake Havasu City, where they built their home and spent the rest of their lives creating cherished memories.

Carolyn was a true go-getter with a vibrant spirit and a love for people. Over the years, she worked at La Costa Country Club, the Golden Horseshoe, the Edgewater, and Angelina's, and proudly owned her own clothing shop, The Grass Shack, in Lake Havasu-an extension of her love for fashion and style.

She embraced life fully. Carolyn enjoyed bowling in her league for many years and found joy spending time at home-relaxing and visiting with loved ones by her pool, spending time out on the pontoon boat, slalom skiing, and enjoying rides in the buggy. She also loved hosting gatherings, playing bingo, and bringing people together.

Known for her bubbly and happy nature, Carolyn had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. She would do anything for anyone and was truly the rock of her family. With her warmth, kindness, and unmistakable Southern charm, she often shared her favorite sayings, "that's nice" and "y'all come back now, ya hear!"-a reflection of the sweet Southern belle she was at heart.

Carolyn is reunited with her beloved husband, William "Bill" Leonard, and her sister, Jo Gerig. She is survived by her children, William "Bill" Leonard and Kim Casey; her brother, Jimmy Terral; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply. Above all, Carolyn cherished her family and friends. Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and joy, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
