Obituary published on Legacy.com by Click Funeral Home - Lenoir City on Mar. 1, 2026.
Arthur Ross "Art" Potter, aged 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went home to the Lord on February 26, 2026. He was born on February 5, 1953, the first child of Arthur W. and Nannie Mabel (Wills) Potter, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Art was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of E-4 / Sergeant. After he was discharged from service, he married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Robinson Potter, in October, 1976. Art and Debbie moved to Venice, Florida, in 1977, where Art began his thirty-nine-year career with Lanier/Ricoh as a customer-service representative. During their eleven years in Florida, they were blessed with two daughters, Amanda and Jessica. A promotion to service manager led them to Knoxville, Tennessee, in May, 1988, and Knoxville became their forever home. Art was a member of Dixie Lee Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and where he and Debbie served as the coordinators of the Senior FEAST Ministry.

Art is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur W. and Nannie Mabel (Wills) Potter and his youngest brother, Roger Dale Potter.

Art is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Debbie (Robinson) Potter; two daughters, Amanda (Sammy) Sanfilippo of Franklin, Tennessee, and Jessica (David) Davis of Knoxville, Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Jaya and Nora Sanfilippo and Petra and Blaise Davis.

He is also survived by his younger brother, Rick (Dottie) Potter; three nieces, Felicia Potter, Becky (Tony) Blair, and Charity (K.J.) Heizer; one nephew, Joshua (Katie) Potter, a loving extended family, and a community of dear friends who have become as close as family.
