Janice M. Mitchell

Janice M. Mitchell, age 80 of Lenoir City passed away on February 22, 2026. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Janice retired from Shoney's in Lenoir City where she worked as the kitchen manager for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and visiting the Smoky Mountains. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Schwartz; parents, Cyrus Dale Epling and Kate Lily Epling; siblings, Peggy, Ramona, Isabella, Johnny and William Epling.

Survived by her children, Joseph Mannette, Diana Mitchell and Brian Mitchell; grandchildren: Lauren Johnson, Robert Johnson, Andrew Helton, Amanda Alama, Kai Mitchell, Michael Rogers, Jesse Rogers and Connie Rogers; great-grandchildren: Audrey Johnson, Gage Johnson, Noah Johnson, Ollie Johnson, Alahna Helton, Asher Helton, and Anderson Helton; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Dr. Dick DeMerchant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the funeral home will be appreciated to help with funeral expenses.
