Arthur Lane Pressley

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Arthur Lane Pressley entered into his eternal place of peace and rest in his heavenly home. He was blessed with 61 years of a full and good life.

Born on January 17, 1965, in the Leicester Community of Buncombe County, Arthur spent his entire life surrounded by the mountains he loved so deeply. He spent many hours camping, hunting, and fishing, bringing him great peace and solace, spending time outdoors.

Arthur was a hardworking man who always gave his best to his career as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He loved being around people, and he never met a stranger. Arthur was blessed with many friendships he made throughout his life. He was also a talented craftsman and artist, carving special pieces from wood and drawing the most beautiful pictures.

Faith was the foundation of his life. As a dedicated member of Pinnacle View Missionary Baptist in Leicester, Arthur lived his life as an example to others. With his kind heart, Arthur touched many, and he will never be forgotten. He cherished his family, and he will be deeply missed by each of them.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dawn McKinley Pressley; his children, Michael (Maggie), Sandra, Christina "Runt" (Nick), and Cody; grandchildren, Kolbie, Daniel, Maddie, James, Eric, Erin, Heather, Bryan, and Collin; his siblings, Eugene (Gail) and Lois; and many friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Pressey will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Pinnacle View Missionary Baptist Church in Leicester. Pastor Roger Justice and Pastor Daryl Woody will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Clarks Chapel Cemetery in Canton.
