Arthur Mark Shaffman, of Camarillo, California, passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2025, with his beloved wife, Diana Carol Troik, by his side. He was 79 years old.

Arthur was born on August 26, 1946, to Harry and Ruth Shaffman, in Brookline, Massachusetts who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diana; his sister, Marge Charron, and her husband, Ted; his stepdaughter, Laurie Flamholtz; and his sister-in-law, Susan Dichter.

Before moving to California, Arthur worked back east as a service advisor in the automotive industry. After relocating, he became a licensed contractor and founded his own company, HOMEWORKS, building a reputation for craftsmanship and integrity.

Arthur had many passions throughout his life. He loved sailing, cars, and motorcycles, and had a talent for fixing and building things. He enjoyed traveling, especially spending time in Hawaii and Italy. Known for his sharp wit and dry sense of humor, Arthur often reminded those around him, "Life is uncertain, eat dessert first." He had a sweet tooth to match, a big heart for his dogs, a deep appreciation for his friends, and an unwavering love for his beautiful wife, Diana.

Services will be held at Temple Beth Torah, 7620 Foothill Road, Ventura, CA 93004, on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, CA 93003.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur's memory to the Ventura County Animal Shelter, honoring his lifelong affection for animals.

Arthur will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
